For those of you who are interested in such things,
here is some additional background information
about me and the work that I do.

- I graduated from Rutgers School of Law (Newark) in 1961; have
practiced law (mostly matrimonial) for most of those 47 years since;
and since my training in 1989, and aside from my non adversarial style
representing litigating parties, have acted as a mediator in the
area of separation and divorce. For whatever it's worth, here are
some of my professional affiliations.
- Accredited Practitioner Member (APM), NJ Association of Professional;
Mediators (NJAPM) the most respected organization of its kind in New Jersey.
Given its importance as a source of lots of information, and noted elsewhere
in this site, I again urge readers to visit them at www.njapm.com
- Before having both been absorbed into an organization whose name I cannot
recall, was a Certified Divorce Mediator member in the international Academy of
Family Mediators (AFM) and an Associate Member of the Society of Professionals in
Dispute Resolution (SPIDR).
- Certified Divorce Mediator, National Center for
Mediation Education.
- Member of the National Academy of Conciliators, and
the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation.
- Licensed to practice law in the States of New Jersey
and New York.
- Member and former Director of the Dispute Resolution Section,
and a memberof the Family Law Section, of the New Jersey State Bar
Association; and a member of the Family Law and Dispute Resolution
Sections of the Ocean County Bar Association. Guest some time ago
on the WABD (95.9 FM )"Help Yourself" radio talk show with
host Mary Baretta.
